“Don’t move!” A man walking down the sidewalk saw an elderly woman with a walker step into a crosswalk, right as a distracted police officer turned the corner in his patrol car. The cruiser’s bumper clipped the woman’s walker, sending her tumbling to the pavement. The man rushed to the crosswalk, kneeling down to check on the woman and help her up. Instead of checking on the victim he had just hit, the officer jumped out of his car, pointed at the man, and accused him of pushing the woman into the street. Before the young man could finish explaining, the officer grabbed his arms to arrest him.
