The Princess Royal stepped into a very different kind of royal engagement as she attended this year’s International Sheep Dog Trials in her role as Patron of the International Sheep Dog Society. Anne watched handlers and their dogs tackle the qualifying runs, met teams who had travelled from across the United Kingdom and later presented awards recognising some of the standout contributions to sheepdog trialling.
