“I CAN’T WAIT TO HOLD THEM AGAIN” — KING CHARLES TO SHARE EMOTIONAL REUNION WITH GRANDCHILDREN ARCHIE & LILIBET DURING UK VISIT NEXT MONTH King Charles is reportedly overjoyed at the prospect of welcoming Archie and Lilibet back to the UK, with sources saying he is eagerly anticipating an emotional reunion with his grandchildren after years apart. The upcoming visit coincides with a high-profile public event, but for the monarch, the personal moments with the children are expected to be the highlight. Royal insiders suggest that the meetings will focus on family connection and making up for lost time, giving the king a chance to create lasting memories. One small, poignant gesture planned during the visit is already stirring excitement among royal watchers, hinting at the depth of the family reunion to come.

Overjoyed King Charles will enjoy emotional reunion with grandkids Archie & Lilibet when they visit UK next month

HARRY and Meghan will be staying in a royal palace for their UK visit next month.

Their brief return comes six years after their Megxit departure to the US.

Following Harry’s security fears, it is understood they may even stay in Buckingham Palace — with an insider pointing out it is the “safest building in Britain”.

They are bringing their two children here for the first time in four years. King Charles is said to be overjoyed at seeing grandkids Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, again.

There is said to be “an agreement” that Charles sees Archie and Lilibet.

The California-based Sussexes have been reluctant to bring the children to the UK since Harry’s 24-hour protection was removed following January 2020’s Megxit.

Meghan has agreed to stay in a royal home with armed guards for her first trip back since Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in September 2022.

It is not yet know if she will join Harry, Archie and Lilibet in meeting the King.

Charles has not seen the Sussex grandkids, who are sixth and seventh in line to the throne, since the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022

Last week it emerged the entire Sussex family will join Harry when he is in Birmingham and London from July 6 to 10 for events ahead of his Invictus Games next year.

But Harry is not expected to meet brother William, Prince of Wales. They are not believed to have spoken since Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.

A number of royal properties are being looked at to accommodate the Sussexes, it is understood.

Buckingham Palace is currently royal-free amid a £369million renovation.

Harry has previously rejected offers from the King to stay there on solo trips.

But insiders point out the Palace is the safest building in Britain — guarded by the Household Division, serving members of the Army, plus armed Met Police officers.

There could also be rooms available at St James’s Palace in central London or even Windsor Castle.

Another option could be Harry and Meghan’s former home Frogmore Cottage.

It is still empty after their eviction in 2022 and lies within Windsor Castle’s security bubble.

In May 2025 Harry told the BBC of his hopes for a royal reconciliation.

That September he met Charles for less than 45 minutes at Clarence House, London — bringing along a framed photo of his children for his dad.

Harry also jetted in alone to see Charles after he was diagnosed with cancer two years ago.

His family were last all together in the UK in June 2022 for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, when they stayed at Frogmore Cottage.

At the time Meghan was both booed and cheered by crowds outside St Paul’s Cathedral when she attended a National Service of Thanksgiving.

She and Harry again stayed at Frogmore Cottage, without their two children, for the Queen’s funeral three months later.

In early 2023 Harry released memoir Spare which stunned the royals by revealing family secrets and moaning about life in the UK.

Days after the book’s release he was served with eviction from Frogmore Cottage.

By then he and Meghan had already settled at their new estate in Montecito, California.

While there they have appeared in a six-part Netflix documentary and pursued their own business ventures.

Archie and Lilibet were made Prince and Princess when Charles ascended the throne in September 2022.

They frequently appear on Meghan’s Instagram page, and last month she shared touching images of Archie on his seventh birthday.

Sources close to the King insist there have been no changes to Harry’s security provision.

They add that any changes by Ravec are made independently of the King and he has no role in his son’s security which is a matter for the Home Office.

Spokesmen for the King and Harry declined to comment.
