Netflix has dropped another intense international thriller that’s keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.

Firebreak (original Spanish title: Cortafuego), released in February 2026, is a gripping psychological thriller directed by David Victori. It stars Belén Cuesta as Mara, a widow who takes her young daughter Lide and extended family to their summer home in the forest to heal after a loss.

What begins as a quiet family getaway quickly turns into a nightmare when little Lide suddenly disappears in the woods — just as a massive wildfire breaks out and races toward them.
