Just two days after completing the grueling Three Peaks Challenge, Kate Middleton was back at work, taking a private meeting at Windsor Castle.

The closed-door meeting took place on June 30, and the Princess of Wales—in her role as patron of the Royal Foundation she shares with Prince William—received Australian philanthropist Nicola Forrest, according to the Court Circular, the record of the royal family’s engagements (and per Hello!).

Forrest is the founder of the Coaxial Foundation and the Minderoo Foundation, and, as the outlet reported, while no details of the meeting or any photographs were released from the meeting, “it could signal some exciting upcoming projects” for the Prince and Princess of Wales.

The publication reported that it has “long been hoped” that Prince William and Kate would return to Australia. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese issued a “standing invitation” to the couple last year, indicating he was “hopeful” they would return.

June started off with a bang, with the couple attending the royal wedding of Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling on June 6, followed by Trooping the Colour on June 13. The next week, they attended both Garter Day and Royal Ascot, but—save for the Three Peaks Challenge, which Kate documented on social media—all of the future queen’s meetings have been held behind closed doors since.

Last week, she hosted Melinda French Gates at Windsor Castle on June 23; that meeting followed one held also behind closed doors in June 2025. Like Kate’s meeting with Forrest, her meeting with French Gates was on behalf of the Royal Foundation.

Over the weekend, the princess climbed the three highest mountains across Scotland, England, and Wales in just 24 hours. She did so to raise funds for the Royal Marsden, where she received cancer treatment in 2024. She announced in January 2025 that she is in remission.

After completing the challenge solo, she was greeted at the end of the trek by William, their three children, her parents, and her brother James Middleton—who was sweetly seen in a video shared by The Daily Mail helping his sister down to the base of Mount Snowdon in Wales. Touchingly, after Kate shared her cancer diagnosis publicly in March 2024, James shared a childhood photo of them during a hiking trip, writing alongside it, “Over the years, we have climbed many mountains together. As a family, we will climb this one with you too.”

Kate is believed to be the first member of the royal family to complete the Three Peaks Challenge, which saw her walk 23 miles and travel 462 miles between locations. She wrote on social media that she took on the challenge “as a chance to explore life beyond diagnosis and to give something back.”

“I’m so grateful to be here, to be strong enough to walk these hills,” Kate said in a video message shot before she embarked on the journey.
