Meghan Markle has been brutally mocked by fans online after a video of a woman ignoring her as she walked on an Australian beach went viral on social media. The Duchess of Sussex spent four days in Australia with the Duke of Sussex, carrying out a number of engagements for causes and projects close to their hearts.

One of those engagements was a visit to Bondi Beach, where the couple met volunteer first responders from Bondi Surf Bathers’ Life Saving Club. A video circulating online has gone viral, showing a woman appearing unfazed as she sunbathed while the Sussex couple and a group of media walked around her.
Many fans found the video hilarious and took to social media to express their views.

One user said on X: “Australians are not obsessed with anyone.”
A second one opined: “She’s probably more interesting than both of them.”
Another one asked: “Why would you just walk over top of someone like that?”
A fourth one commented: “‘Humanitarians’ don’t trample over people on the beach.”
A fifth one wrote: “She was not bothered! Not moved! [laughing face emoji] wooow.”

A sixth one chimed: “She is just brilliant!”
Near the end of their visit Down Under, the Duchess gave a talk at a “girls’ weekend” retreat in Sydney, costing £1,400 per ticket.
Meghan spoke at the event last Friday, with Prince Harry reportedly being the only man present in a room of around 100 women.
There was extensive security at the hotel for the duchess’s visit, with media access to the event strictly limited.
