The New England Patriots are in a complex position regarding Mike Vrabel. While they say they fully support the head coach, new details about his alleged affair with NFL insider Dianna Russini surfaced, putting him under the spotlight.

Vrabel vowed to move on from the situation and learn from it, but the new details have added more layers to it. On Wednesday, TMZ Sports reported that Vrabel and Russini booked a private boat together in 2021, when the insider was pregnant with her first kid.

A video of that day hit social media on Thursday. While some think that could be the final nail in the coffin, it seems that Vrabel still has several lives.

Jason LaCanfora wrote on Thursday that the Patriots haven’t changed their stance on Vrabel as the leader of the franchise.

“League sources continue to indicate that the franchise is firmly behind Vrabel and owner Robert Kraft has his full support as he attempts to prepare the team for its defense of an AFC crown and also try to repair the damage he has done to his family,” LaCanfora wrote.

The league won’t take any action against Vrabel over this, as it considers the issue a personal matter. Even so, the speculation and rumors continue.
