Dianna Russini is reportedly not doing well.
Dianna Russin is said to be reeling after recent events, with one source describing her as “shellshocked” in the wake of the bombshell release that changed everything.
Russini resigned from her post at The Athletic following the rumors of a relationship with New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel.
Russini and Vrabel are both married and have kids with their spouses. A curious tweet from 2021 would suggest that the reporter named her firstborn after the head coach.
A Daily Mail source says the 43-year-old now focused on “protecting her children amid the chaos.”
The insider claims it’s been a “very intense” few weeks for Russini.
“Dianna is a bit shellshocked by it all and has not really shown her hand in all of this, as it has been a very intense situation that she is still trying to figure out and feel out,” they told the Mail.
Mike Vrabel’s Feelings On Dianna Russini’s Tailspin Revealed

The source noted that Russini has no idea what she will do next after leaving The Athletic.
“She’s neither here nor there right now as the dust hasn’t settled one bit. Nobody including herself knows what the next move for her will be,” they added.
“One thing she is mainly focusing on is being a mom and to protect her kids through all of this madness.”
While Russini had to quit her job, Vrabel is keeping his.
The coach was absent for the third day of the NFL Draft because he had to go to counseling. He’s since returned to work with the full backing of the Patriots organization.
According to the Mail’s source, he feels really bad about what’s happened with Russini.
“Mike feels terrible on many levels, especially since Dianna’s career is pretty much over, and that blood is on his hands,” they explained. “He feels terrible that he is responsible and that she may never be able to work again.”
The insider added:
“There happens to be so many emotions going through him right now that for whatever counseling he is taking part in will be a continued situation for the foreseeable future. All of this is not going to be fixed overnight. He has to get on the right page with himself, and everyone involved, and that is easier said than done, and we are currently on the bottom of that mountain.
“He has a lot of climbing to do to get to the top of the mountain and on level footing. He’s hoping that the saying time heals all wounds is true. He’s resting his beliefs on that right now and drowning himself in work.”
Russini and Vrabel were recently described as being “madly in love” with each other.
Should that really be the case, he’s definitely feeling it for her.
