“JUST WHEN HE THOUGHT THE STORY HAD FADED AWAY… IT CAME ROARING BACK.” — WILL LEVIS FACES FRESH SPOTLIGHT AS OLD CONTROVERSY RESURFACES ONLINE For athletes in the social media era, some headlines refuse to stay buried. That’s the reality now facing Will Levis after an old controversy involving his personal life unexpectedly began circulating online again, reigniting discussion among fans and critics alike. What makes the situation particularly uncomfortable is the timing. As Levis attempts to focus on football and the next chapter of his career, attention has once again shifted away from the field and toward a story many believed had already faded from public conversation. Social media users are now sharing clips, screenshots, and reactions, pushing the controversy back into the spotlight. But the detail now generating the most buzz isn’t the content itself. It’s the reason many believe the story suddenly started trending again, leaving fans wondering whether this latest wave of attention will disappear quickly… or become an even bigger distraction in the days ahead.

A difficult week takes another turn for QB.

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis hoped to focus on the NFL. Instead, he ended the week with a difficult practice after a personal story involving his family.

Levis recently returned to the field after recovering from shoulder surgery, which kept him out for the entire 2025 season. The 26-year-old is now competing with Mitchell Trubisky for the backup quarterback job behind Cam Ward.

His return came only a few days after his mother, Beth Levis, spoke publicly about a leaked private video involving Levis and his former girlfriend, Gia Duddy. Her comments brought fresh attention to an incident that got quite popular several years ago.

Levis showed flashes of promise during Friday’s session, but mistakes overshadowed much of his work.

According to the Titans’ official practice report, Levis threw two interceptions during team drills. Defensive tackle Solomon Thomas grabbed the first after what the report described as a “bad pass by Levis.” Cornerback Keydrain Calligan added another interception when Levis attempted to connect with receiver Lance McCutcheon.

Levis completed 15 of 23 passes overall. He finished 5-of-6 during 7-on-7 drills and 10-of-17 during team periods.

The Titans noted one highlight when Levis connected with Courtney Jackson on a deep throw. He also showed growing chemistry with tight end David Martin-Robinson. Still, the team report concluded that it “wasn’t his best day.”

Earlier in the week, Beth Levis shared details about her son’s reaction when he learned the video had spread online.

“You just know your kids and you know the tenor of their voice and the feel, even though they’re thousands of miles awayAs soon as he started talking my heart immediately sank,” she said. “The first words out of Will’s mouth were ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry, so sorry Mom’.”

She said, “It really hurt Will because he knew this was going to be something that probably a lot of people would see and it’s not meant for anybody else’s eyes, other than perhaps he and his girlfriend.”

Beth also pushed back against rumors that either Levis or Duddy intentionally released the footage. She said Levis hired cybersecurity experts and a private investigator to determine how the material reached the internet.

“Will actually ended up engaging in hiring a cyber security specialist and private investigator, spent an exorbitant amount of money to try and get to the bottom of this,” she said.

According to Beth, investigators traced the breach to an Eastern European hacking group that targeted the couple after gaining access to Levis’ personal device years earlier.

Now entering the final NFL season of his $9.95 million rookie contract, Levis faces an important year in Tennessee. While the off-field attention continues, his focus remains on earning his place on the roster before the Titans open the season against the New York Jets on September 13 in Nashville.
