Meghan Markle may be on the list of nominations for a daytime Emmy award, but there is another prestigious list she has been brutally snubbed from. This week, Tatler style editor Chandler Tregaskes has crowned the best-dressed people of 2026.

Being in the public eye and connected to the Royal Family, Meghan may have expected to see herself on such a list. Sadly for her, this is not the case. Instead, other well-known people have made the list, with Princess Catherine rightly taking the number one spot.

Talking about Princess Catherine being the best-dressed of 2026, the Tatler article praised Prince William’s wife for multiple fashion choices she has made this year, including at Royal Ascot and at Peter and Harriet Phillips’ wedding.

The article read: “Here is a true style champion: showcasing homegrown designers on the world stage, and spotlighting up-and-coming London Fashion Week figures, as during the Nigerian state visit, when she wore a heather-grey coat dress from British-Nigerian cool girl Tolu Coker.

“The Princess of Wales has topped this list before, and will again.

“But now feels the perfect moment to salute Britain’s chicest figure, back to health – and back to being a Brit-fashion heroine.”

This is a blow for Meghan who has always shown an interest in fashion, and even suggested not long ago that she is looking to delve into the fashion world at some point.

She once said on a podcast in 2025: “The category of fashion is something I will explore at a later date, because I do think that’s an interesting space for me.”

Meghan has also been spotted at various fashion events, even making a surprise appearance at Paris Fashion Week last year to attend the Balenciaga show.

Other people to make it on Tatler’s best-dressed 2026 list include Jemma, Countess of Mornington, and Lady Carolyn Warren.
