Prince William and Meghan Markle both received Emmy news this month.
Last week, it was announced that the Prince of Wales’ episode of The Reluctant Traveler With Eugene Levy received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Nonfiction Program. The third season of the Apple TV+ travel show also received a nomination for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special.
Prince William’s episode, titled “Living the Royal Life in the U.K.,” featured the royal heir, 44, welcoming Levy, 79, to Windsor Castle for a one-of-a-kind tour and a candid conversation about life and legacy. The royal heir gave perhaps one of his most revealing interviews to date to the Canadian comedian and actor, opening up about everything from seeing his wife, Kate Middleton, and father, King Charles, through their respective cancer journeys to his plans for the future of the monarchy.

“I was taken aback by how at ease he made me feel right from the first second we met,” Levy later told ITV’s Chris Ship of filming with the prince. “When he got to some of the more personal items, I had the feeling this might be something that he, you know, was ready to talk about or wanted to talk about, and use me to do it.”
“He was just very approachable, and I think maybe wanted to convey that this is who he is,” he added. “And it was my sense that this is the beginning of possibly a different way to go for the monarchy. Different form of monarchy. Different from the past.”
The Reluctant Traveler episode only has two other nominees in its Emmy category, but it faces stiff competition in Ken Burns’ The American Revolution and The Daily Show Presents: Jordan Klepper Fingers the Pulse: Give the Man a Prize. The 78th Emmy Awards will be broadcast live on Monday, Sept. 14, from 8 to 11 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.

Meanwhile, Prince William’s sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, is taking on the Daytime Emmys with the first-ever nomination for her Netflix series With Love, Meghan.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, celebrated her show’s nod for Outstanding Lifestyle Series on Wednesday, July 15, sharing an Instagram post thanking all involved with the production.
“A huge congratulations to the amazing crew, producers, and team who worked on With Love, Meghan on @netflix,” she wrote alongside a poster for the series.
PEOPLE previously reported that the series is up against A Different Breed, George to the Rescue, The Motherhood and The Wizard of Paws in the Outstanding Lifestyle Program category.
The winner of the category will be revealed at the 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday, Oct. 30.

With Love, Meghan followed the Duchess of Sussex showcasing her passion for cooking, entertaining, gardening and more. Two seasons and a holiday special were filmed in Montecito, Calif., where Meghan lives with husband Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, though not at the Sussexes’ actual home.
Episodes featured celebrity guest stars like Mindy Kaling, Chrissy Teigen, Tan France, Jay Shetty and chef Roy Choi, as well as cameos from Harry and appearances from Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.
Earlier this year, a source told PEOPLE that while there are “currently no plans for a third season” of With Love, Meghan, there is still a possibility of future specials or other one-off projects.
