The Princess Royal has long preferred entertaining at Gatcombe Park with considerably less fuss. In fact, Anne once joked that she wants everyone out of the house by 9.15pm at the latest — and her final course apparently helps make that deadline crystal clear. It’s cheap, brilliantly practical and designed so guests don’t even have to finish it at the table.
