A TEENAGE girl who disappeared three days ago is reportedly living with a man in the woods.

The desperate hunt for missing Rachel, 17, has led cops to believe that she is living in woods in Doncaster with a man called Craig Clarkson, 39.

Rachel, from the Suffolk area, was first reported missing on July 23 with police thinking she had travelled to the Doncaster area.

After further enquiries, South Yorkshire Police released CCTV images of Rachel and Craig leaving a shop together in Carcroft.

As cops continue to frantically search for the teen, Craig has now become a wanted man in connection with Rachel’s disappearance.

It’s believed he could be carrying a large rucksack and two dogs.

Specialist search teams, uniformed officers, and detectives are involved in the search and are extremely concerned for her welfare.

Rachel is described as a slim white woman with light coloured hair and a distinctive tattoo on her right hand.

Craig is described as a slim white man and is also known to frequent the Clay Ponds area of Askern.

Detective Inspector Adam Watkinson said: “I want to start by making it very clear that Rachel is not in any sort of trouble with the police.

“We have become extremely concerned for her welfare and are working as hard as possible to find her and check that she is safe.

“Our enquiries have led us to suspect that Craig Clarkson has been travelling with Rachel since her disappearance from Suffolk, and we are now treating him as a wanted person in connection with this investigation.

“If anyone sees him, please call 999 immediately. It is essential that we speak to Clarkson and make sure Rachel is safe as soon as possible.”

A spokesperson for the force said: “Craig Clarkson, aged 39, and Rachel were last seen outside the Rose store in the Carcroft area of Doncaster on the morning of 23 July.

“Officers believe it is possible that Craig and Rachel are in woodland near Long Lands Lane, and we’re asking anyone who frequents the area known as Brodsworth Woodland to keep an eye out.

“Our enquiries have led us to believe that she could be with a man whom we are now treating as wanted in connection with her disappearance.

“If you see Clarkson and Rachel, or something that suggests they may have been in the area recently, please report it straight away.”
