Princess Eugenie shared her husband’s unexpected title in a sweet tribute.

To mark Father’s Day on Sunday, June 21, the princess praised her husband of six years, Jack Brooksbank, in a post on her personal Instagram page.

The post included two photos. The first showed Jack from behind, walking hand-in-hand with the couple’s two sons: August, 5, and Ernest, 3. A second snap showed Jack sitting on a pew in a church, facing backward to engage with a young boy playing with a toy, and Eugenie shed more light on the image in the caption.

“Happy Father’s Day to the best there is.. chief child entertainer for besties wedding too,” wrote Princess Eugenie, 36. “The boys couldn’t ask for a better Dada. Xxxx”

Princess Eugenie, her sister Princess Beatrice and their husbands recently attended a friend’s wedding in Austria, providing a clue to where the new photo of Jack was taken.

Princess Eugenie and Jack, who wed in October 2018, will welcome their third child this summer.

In May, Buckingham Palace shared a statement with the announcement: “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer. August (aged 5) and Ernest (aged 2) are also very excited to have another sibling join the family. His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news.”

Eugenie also shared the news with a post on Instagram, writing “Baby Brooksbank due 2026!” alongside a photo of August and Ernest holding an ultrasound image.

Although Princess Eugenie’s children don’t have royal titles, they follow her in the line of succession to the throne. She is currently in the 12th spot, followed by her two sons, and the new baby will be 15th in the line of succession.

The baby news comes amid a difficult time for Princess Eugenie’s family. In October 2025, King Charles stripped her parents, the former Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, of their royal titles and longtime residence as newly released files revealed the depth of their alleged ties with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein, and Ferguson has not been accused of any.

In February, Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office, related to a claim that he shared confidential information with Epstein during his time as a trade envoy for the U.K.Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank Reveal Infant Son's Name | Vanity Fair

Following the arrest, a source told PEOPLE that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were trying to “stay away” from the controversy surrounding their parents. “They have young children, and this is their grandfather — their focus is on protecting their own children from this,” the insider said.

A family friend also told PEOPLE that the sisters “want to hold on to their royal status,” amid the turmoil. “It’s their identity,” the source added.
