Traveling to Italy to visit Danny (Colman Domingo) and Claude (Marco Calvani) with Kate (Tina Fey) and Jack (Will Forte), Anne realized she needed some change and decided to stay there.

Ultimately, she planned to stay at Danny and Claude’s home in Italy as they relocated to the States to help Danny’s mom through a medical event in Philadelphia. As Anne stepped out to enjoy her new surroundings, attempting to forget Mark Brett (Steven Pasquale), whom she connected with over the summer only to let things fizzle out, she bumped into a handsome stranger played by none other than David Tennant!
