etflix’s latest crime thriller, I Will Find You, has officially arrived – and viewers have wasted no time getting stuck into the new series, with some binge-watching all eight-episodes in one sitting.

Adapted from Harlan Coben’s 2023 bestselling novel, the series stars Sam Worthington (Avatar) as David Burroughs, a man serving a life sentence for his son’s murder. When he discovers evidence suggesting his son might be alive, he is determined to escape prison and find him.

Netflix has built a reputation for delivering twisty, suspenseful Harlan Coben adaptations. Following hits like Fool Me Once and Run Away, the streaming service once again proves its knack for keeping audiences hooked, and I Will Find You is shaping up to be another addictive series.

What have viewers said about I Will Find You?

The series has gone down a storm with viewers. One fan called it “a gripping mystery thriller packed with twists, suspense, and emotional moments,” while others admitted they “can’t stop watching” and were glued to their screens.

Critical reception, however, has been mixed. While The Times called the series “daft but gripping,” The Guardian was less convinced, describing the script as “made of Play-Doh.” Despite the criticism, reviewers agreed that the plot is compelling enough to keep audiences watching until the end.

What is I Will Find You about?

The story follows David Burroughs, who is serving a life sentence in prison for a crime he did not commit: the murder of his son. When his sister-in-law Rachel (Severance‘s Britt Lower) brings him a recent photo that appears to show his son, Matthew (Ashton Cressman), alive, he must break out of prison to find his boy and prove his innocence.

Teaming up with Rachel, who is also an investigative journalist, and her ex-partner Hayden (Gilmore Girls’ Milo Ventimiglia), David finds himself drawn into a “shadowy world of criminals and conspiracy” as he searches for his son.

According to Netflix, the series promises to be “an odyssey you won’t want to miss”, with “jaw dropping” reveals, family secrets and shocking discoveries.
