Princess Beatrice’s husband is reportedly keen to keep a relationship going with Prince William and Princess Catherine for one reason, an expert has said. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi married into the Royal Family in 2020 when he exchanged vows with Princess Beatrice – King Charles’ nephew.

Since their wedding, which was attended by just a few royals as it was in the days of the Covid pandemic, the couple have gone on to welcome two daughters together, Sienna and Athena. Their daughters, as well as Edo’s son Wolfie from a previous relationship, keep the royal parents busy. Their work also keeps them pre-occupied, with both Beatrice and Edo earning their own livings.

This, according to one royal expert, is why he likes to try and maintain a bond with Prince William and Princess Catherine.

While he is not seen with them often, he often leaves sweet comments under their Instagram posts, suggesting that he is trying to show he is supportive of them.

In the post by Kensington Palace after Princess Catherine completed The Three Peaks Challenge, Edo commented with clapping hand emojis, followed by a love heart and a mountain emoji.

While Edo may be friendly with the couple anyway, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told the Daily Mail that he thinks being seen to be in a good relationship with the future King and Queen could be important for Edo’s business.

Richard Fitzwilliams told the Daily Mail: “Edo clearly has a vested interest in steering a stable ship, with a firm like Banda Property reliant on reputation.

“Good relations with the Waleses, therefore, have an added importance for him.”

Since Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s scandals, William and Catherine have reportedly tried to keep a distance from the York family, including Andrew’s daughter Princess Beatrice.
