The issue of accommodation has become far more significant than simply finding a place to sleep.
Since Frogmore Cottage was vacated, Harry has argued that security concerns make private visits to Britain increasingly difficult. The loss of the Windsor property left him without an official royal residence in the UK, adding another layer of complexity to an already strained relationship with the institution he left in 2020.
The reported Buckingham Palace arrangement comes only weeks after Harry and Meghan Markle reunited privately with King Charles III during a family gathering that also included Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
