Internet detectives uncovered a strange post from Dianna Russini on X/Twitter from March 2020, and the timing could not be more wild or jaw-dropping.

Last week, Dianna Russini resigned from The Athletic after photos leaked of her hanging out with New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel at a hotel in Sedona, Arizona. The images were taken a day before the NFL’s Annual League Meeting began in Phoenix.

Things took an even crazier turn on Thursday, when Page Six published photos of Vrabel and Russini kissing at a New York City club. Those images were taken at the Tribeca Tavern on March 11, 2020.

At the time, Vrabel was an NFL insider at ESPN, and Vrabel had just finished his second season as head coach of the Tennessee Titans. Russini was also months away from marrying her husband, Kevin Goldschmidt.

Here’s where things get weirder. Russini has since deleted her X account, but fans dug up an old post of her saying, “What a night” on March 12, 2020. That was one day after she kissed Vrabel.

At the end of the day, there isn’t a single winner in the Russini-Vrabel scandal. Obviously, it’s between Russini and her husband and Vrabel and his wife on how to handle this entire mess.

It’s hard not to feel for Goldschmidt and Jen Vrabe, who’s been married to Mike since 1999. Obviously, affairs between celebrities (in this case, Vrabel) aren’t rare. But the way it came to public light is what makes it worse.

It’s anybody’s guess what the future holds for Russini as an NFL insider. For Vrabel, he has already commited to counseling. But of course, he’s not going to face any serious repercussions from the NFL or the Patriots.
