Even though Prince Louis appeared to be on his best behaviour at the year’s Trooping the Colour on Saturday, Princess Catherine had to remind him of one thing as the Royal Family prepared for the National Anthem. The King led his family during the event yesterday, which is known to be one of the biggest events in the royal calendar.

Trooping the Colour marks the monarch’s official birthday and takes place every June. After the procession, which saw Catherine riding with her three children in a carriage along The Mall, the family joined together on the Buckingham Palace balcony to watch the RAF Flypast.

As the National Anthem was about to start, lip reader Jeremy Freeman said that the mother-of-three made one comment to her youngest son.

He told The Mirror that the young royal appeared fidgety as the celebrations came to an end, prompting Kate to tell her children: “National anthem. Louis, stand.”

The eight-year-old, who has previously been known for his cheeky antics at royal events, was then seen correcting his posture and concentrating for the National Anthem.

Prince George, who will celebrate his 13th birthday next month, and Louis looked smart in matching navy suits.

Princess Charlotte, 11, donned a beautiful off-white dress, whilst Catherine looked stunning in a beautiful shade of pale blue.

All three of the children have stepped out for the historic event, which takes place every June and marks the monarch’s official birthday, on numerous occasions.

As well as the Waleses and the King and Queen, the balcony appearance included royals such as Princess Anne, Sir Timothy Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.

The Duke of Kent also joined the family, with the 90-year-old spotted on his phone at one point during the balcony appearance – which left some fans in tears.
