THIS is the emotional moment a groom wiped away ‘floods of tears’ after Grand National Festival horse Impaire Et Passe got up from a horror fall.

The Willie Mullins runner was in a right humdinger with Nicky Henderson’s Jango Baie in the Grade 1 Bowl on Thursday.

But in a race characterised by messy jumping, Impaire Et Passe fell upon landing after the second-last.

The horse skidded along the turf on his head, sending jockey Paul Townend flying.

It looked a nasty spill but fortunately the eight-year-old gelding, owned by Simon Munir and Isaac Souede was soon back up on his feet.

And ITV cameras captured the moment he was walked back to the stables with his groom.

She was, as ITV horse Ed Chamberlin said, in ‘floods of tears’ – so relieved was she her horse was OK.

It was reminiscent of Dysart Dynamo’s groom being visibly emotional when he fell at Cheltenham Festival a few years ago.

Impaire Et Passe’s quick recovery came as punters hoped for good news about Jax Junior.

The Lucy Wadham-trained seven-year-old was pulled up in the William Hill Manifesto Novices’ Chase – the second race of the day.

He was able to walk into the horse ambulance and be transported back to the stables, where he received the best care.
