William, 44, visited Ysgol Gymraeg Llundain (The London Welsh School) in Hanwell, west London, where he met teachers and students while wishing Team Wales well ahead of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, which begin later this month.

The Prince and Princess of Wales shared a series of photos and videos from the visit on their official Instagram account, accompanied by a joint message written in both English and Welsh.

William’s engagement came as the High Court handed down its decision in his estranged Montecito-based brother’s unlawful information-gathering lawsuit against Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL), the publisher of the Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday.

Harry, 41, had travelled to Britain on Monday ahead of Tuesday’s ruling.

While the judgment was being delivered, the Duke was attending the 14th Invictus Games Foundation Conversation at Chatham House in central London, around 19 kilometres from where William was carrying out his engagement.

The lawsuit was brought by Harry alongside fellow claimants Sir Elton John, David Furnish, Elizabeth Hurley, Sadie Frost, Baroness Doreen Lawrence and former Liberal Democrat MP Simon Hughes.

Justice Matthew Nicklin found the Duke of Sussex had failed to prove ANL engaged in unlawful information gathering.

In his 436-page judgment, Justice Nicklin concluded there was a realistic possibility that the articles at the centre of the case had been obtained through legitimate journalistic methods.

Harry later responded to the ruling by issuing a strongly worded joint statement with Baroness Lawrence.

“We came to court seeking justice and accountability. But we received neither,” they said.

“It is a complete and obvious whitewash, but sadly not altogether unexpected.”

The Duke had arrived in Britain the previous day and spent his first evening attending the premiere of his friend Misan Harriman’s documentary, Shoot the People, at Picturehouse Central in London’s Piccadilly Circus.

He was photographed alongside Harriman, filmmaker Andy Mundy-Castle and writer and broadcaster Afua Hirsch.

Harry’s spokesperson, Liam Maguire, told People the Duke was “in good form last night” after arriving in Britain.

“He’s really happy to be back in the UK and really looking forward to the week’s engagements,” Maguire added.

Harry’s visit is centred on a series of Invictus Games engagements in London and Birmingham ahead of the Birmingham 2027 Games, although the trip has been largely overshadowed by his legal defeat and ongoing questions surrounding his accommodation.

The latest controversy centres on reports that an offer for Harry to stay at Buckingham Palace fell through after a dispute over whether he accepted the invitation before the required deadline.

Palace sources maintain the Duke failed to respond in time, while Harry’s representatives say the offer was withdrawn after he had formally accepted it.

It also remains unclear whether Meghan Markle and the couple’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will travel to Britain later in the visit.

Before arriving in London, Harry is understood to have spent time with Meghan and their children in Europe, where reports have suggested they were staying at Sir Elton John’s home in the south of France.

Separate, unverified reports have also claimed Sir Elton has covered Harry’s legal costs.

Despite Harry’s return to the UK, there is no indication he will meet with Prince William during the visit, with the brothers remaining deeply estranged.
