Cartier Halo Crown

On her wedding day to William at Westminster Abbey in 2011, Kate wore the Cartier Halo tiara, which had been loaned to her by the late Queen Elizabeth II.

This piece of jewelry was crafted by Cartier in 1936 and was previously worn by Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Margaret, and Princess Anne. However, the late Queen Elizabeth II never wore this tiara publicly during her 70-year reign.

This is also one of the pieces of jewelry that has been associated with Kate’s image since she officially became a member of the British royal family.

Nizam diamond necklace from Hyderabad

Kate first wore the Nizam of Hyderabad diamond necklace at the Portrait Gala in 2014.

The piece of jewelry was given to Queen Elizabeth II on her wedding day in 1947 by Asaf Jah VII, the last Nizam of Hyderabad. The Queen particularly cherished the necklace in the early years of her marriage.

Kate is currently the only member of the royal family other than the late Queen Elizabeth II to have publicly worn this piece of jewelry. She wore it a second time at a diplomatic reception in 2019.

Strathmore Rose Crown

At the state banquet at Buckingham Palace during the South Korean president’s state visit in 2023, Kate surprised the public by appearing wearing the Strathmore Rose tiara.

The piece of jewelry once belonged to Queen Elizabeth II and is believed to have been worn only by her and Kate. Before Kate wore it in 2023, the tiara had been in storage for about 90 years.

The design is inspired by roses, with diamond-studded flowers prominently displayed on a silver and gold frame.

Queen Victoria’s Oriental Circlet tiara

At the state banquet at Windsor Castle in 2025 to welcome German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Kate appeared in a floor-length blue gown by Jenny Packham and wore an Oriental Circlet tiara.

The tiara was crafted in 1853 for Queen Victoria at the direction of Prince Albert. The piece of jewelry contains approximately 2,600 diamonds and was previously worn by Queen Mother Elizabeth and Queen Elizabeth II.

Before Kate wears this tiara at a state dinner in 2025, Queen Elizabeth II was the last person to wear it, during a visit to Malta in 2005.

Princess Diana’s sapphire earrings

For many years, Kate wore a pair of smaller sapphire and diamond earrings, leading many to believe they were a modified version of Princess Diana ‘s famous sapphire earrings .

In 2022, she first appeared in a larger version at Trooping the Colour, showcasing it as a distinct piece of jewelry.

The earrings once belonged to Diana and were later given to her daughter-in-law. Kate continued to wear them on many occasions, including the ANZAC memorial and thanksgiving service at Westminster Abbey in April 2026.

Besides Diana, Kate is the only other known person to have worn these sapphire earrings.

Amethyst Sautéir necklace

The amethyst necklace that Kate wore at the premiere of *Digger* was a gift from Queen Alexandra to Queen Elizabeth II on her wedding day in 1923.

The design, featuring pearls, diamonds, and amethysts, was once kept in the royal jewels’ vault and rarely appears in public.

Before Kate, Queen Camilla , then Duchess of Cornwall, was the last to wear this piece of jewelry. She wore it at the premiere of the film Skyfall in 2012.
