MEGHAN’S “LIFE BACK IN BRITAIN” VIDEO LOOKED SWEET AND SIMPLE — BUT SIX SMALL DETAILS TOLD A MUCH BIGGER STORY 👀🇬🇧 At first glance, it was just a warm family montage showing Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lilibet settling into their new chapter in Britain. But the footage was doing more than showing muddy walks and quiet family time. Scattered through the video were six subtle clues about how the Sussexes are adapting, what the children are bringing with them from California and how different their British life may already feel. Most of them passed in seconds. And unless you were watching closely, they were very easy to miss.

Meghan Markle is embracing life back in Britain, after she shared a sweet clip online documenting the first few weeks of her life back in the UK, after she moved across the Atlantic with Prince Harry and their children Archie and Lilibet.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with their kids, had been residing in California for six years, following Harry and Meghan’s decision to quit the Firm in 2020 in search of personal and financial freedom. Now, six years on, the Sussex family are back on UK shores for an ‘extended stay’, and are believed to be living in the Cotswolds.

Just weeks after moving, the family are no doubt still settling into their new life in Harry’s home country, while Archie and Lilibet are believed to have started school in the last few weeks.

While Meghan has not yet been seen publicly since arriving in the UK, she shared a video to Instagram over the weekend as a snapshot of the first few weeks of the Sussex’s new chapter in Britain.

The video included a series of clips, such as Archie and Lilibet chasing after a flock of deer, Harry and Meghan holding hands, Harry teaching his children how to catch a fish, and Lilibet sitting by a roaring fire. But there were also a few subtle signs you might’ve missed.

Archie’s accent

In the video, Meghan filmed as Archie and Lilibet watched on when a herd of deer ran across a path in front of the Sussex family. And while filming from behind as to not show her children’s faces, Archie can be heard saying ‘go, go!’ before running off in the animals’ direction.

While Archie was born in the UK, he was just eight months old when he moved to America. And as a result of spending over six years Stateside, Archie seems to have an American accent.

At the end of the video, while Meghan films a fish being caught in the water, Archie can be heard saying ‘I got this’, in which his accent is quite clear.

The family dog

The Sussex family dog Pula, a black Labrador retriever, also made a brief appearance in the video, while their other dog, a beagle named Mia, did not.

Pula is seen running ahead of Meghan while on a leafy walking trail, and again excitedly watching on from a river bank while Harry, Archie and Lilibet try their hand at fishing from a small boat on the water.

After the news was announced of Harry and Meghan’s plans to move back to the UK, it was shared that their two family dogs would be joining them for their new life in Britain, while their chickens were not.

Lilibet mans the fishing pole

As Harry was seen teaching his children how to fish, five-year-old Lilibet was in charge of handing the huge fishing pole, while Harry seemingly attached a bait to its hook as Lilibet held it steady.

Archie was standing behind his sister and was handing a fishing pole of his own without his father’s help.

The next clip in Meghan’s video showed a few fish thrashing around in the clear water, alluding to a successful family fishing lesson.

British emojis

While Meghan’s video did not have a caption, she added two emojis over the top of the video: one of a red heart, and another of the Union Jack flag, clarifying that the videos had been taken in Britain.

Meghan was smiling throughout the video when she was on camera, and the happy snapshots of her family suggest the Sussex’s are revelling in the new chapter of their lives in the UK.

Lilibet’s doll

While Archie ran after the flock of deer as his parents kept a watchful eye, Lilibet seemed more reserved and was happy to keep a distance while sitting atop her bike, which had training wheels fixed to the back and tassels coming from the handle bars.

Also secured to the back of her bike is a small seat for a toy, in which Lilibet placed a doll to join her for the ride along the path towards the flock of deer.

Ready for autumn

Throughout the video, the Sussex family don their puffer jackets, wellies and warm winter clothes, suggesting they are snuggling up as British summertime comes to an end.

In one clip, they even have a roaring fire lit, which Lilibet sat in front of as she warmed her bare feet near the flames, with her toes decorated with pink nail polish.

The family splash in puddles and the children looked cosy under blankets while they were on the boat with their dad for their fishing lesson, as they adapt to the change from sunny California.
